One of the best things my mom and I have learned about weight loss is that it doesn't have to be expensive, tedious, overwhelming or super complicated (all things I'd let discourage me about weigh-loss in the past). Our number one goal is to help show YOU how you can reach your goals and make it easy and fun!
Here are the general facts:
*The competition will be FREE and anyone can enter!
*It's going to last 8 weeks, beginning Monday, May 11th. The winner will be announced Monday, June 29th.
*YOU set your own goal weight for the 8 weeks, whether it's 5, 10 or 15 lbs. you need to lose (or gain! We're happy to have pregnant or breastfeeding people as part of the group! Those are times when it's crucial to be living a healthy lifestyle!) Keep in mind that healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs/week. So the max you should set your goal for this challenge is about 16 lbs.
*We'll use a private Facebook group, along with his blog, to post helps (like menu plans, workouts, recipes, etc.) and have "themes" for each week where we can lean and discuss different struggles, motivators, weaknesses, etc.
*You'll be able to accumulate points by implementing specific healthy habits on a daily basis (drinking water, healthy eating, exercise, etc.). We'll have weekly prizes for the person with the most points at the end of each week. In the event of a tie at the end of the competition (more than one person reaching or exceeding their goal weight), the person with the most overall points will be the winner.
Send Donna or me a message on Facebook to enter. You'll need to send me your current weight and your goal weight for the 8 weeks by Sunday, May 10th to be eligible for the grand prize! (Your weights will never be posted)
